RuneScape is an MMORPG developed by Jagex and live since 2001. Instead of a class system it uses skill-based progression: your character gains levels in whichever skill you actually practise.

The game has two separate versions. Old School RuneScape (OSRS) is the classic version based on the game as it was in 2007; RuneScape 3 (RS3) is the modern version with current content and interface. Their economies and gold are entirely separate.

Why OSRS and RS3 gold must not be confused
