Counter-Strike 2 is the tactical shooter developed by Valve and released in 2023 as the successor to CS:GO. Rebuilt on the Source 2 engine, it is regarded as the largest technical update in the series thanks to its reworked smoke mechanics, tick-rate-independent servers and overhauled maps.
